Peshawar District:
Consulting firm will work closely with KPHCIP-H-PMU in achieving this and in providing appropriate and cost-effective designs for any new buildings. The designs will be functional and create an environment conducive to providing healthcare services. The resulting buildings will be safe for their intended use, resilient to earthquakes, floods and other hazards and compliant with all applicable building codes and local legal requirements. The resultant buildings will ensure safety for their intended purposes, resilience against earthquakes, floods, and other hazards, and compliance with relevant building codes and local legal requirements. The design and construction of the facilities will prioritize safety, durability, reliability, simplicity, and economy, while also considering the climate and local conditions. The climate across the four districts ranges from cold winters to hot summers. Renovation and new building designs will be tailored to these fluctuations, striving to ensure year-round comfort for both staff and patients without the reliance on air-conditioning, if feasible. Furthermore, efforts will be made to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of the buildings. In their designs, the Consultants will also consider the global COVID-19 crisis and the subsequent need for increased infection control.
