WASTE MANAGEMENT IN PRIMARY HEALTHCARE FACILITIES

The Government of Pakistan (GoP) has received credit from World Bank towards the cost of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Human Capital Investment Project (KP-HCIP). The project intends towards improving the performance of the health sector, Governance and is implementing several strategic policies/guidelines including the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Policy 2018.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Human Capital Investment Project (KP-HCIP) is seeking an experienced consulting firm or association of firms (in joint venture or sub-consultancy) in Pakistan to conduct “PROCUREMENT OF SERVICES OF FIRM FOR END-TO-END WASTE MANAGEMENT IN PRIMARY HEALTHCARE FACILITIES OF SELECTED DISTRICTS UNDER KP-HCIP”.  The Specific Objective includes mainly

  • Task 1: Review of Health care Waste Management Plan in the ESMF.
  • Task 2: To facilitate in Selection of Waste Management Options to be based on International best standards.
  • Task 3: Health Care Waste Management System Implementation (including segregation, collection, on site transportation, storage, off site transportation, treatment, disposal and dumping). 
  • Task 4: Training and Capacity building of Staff on Healthcare waste management

 It should be mentioned in the qualification that the staff deployed by the firm should have relevant qualification, experience of managing health care waste and preparation of monitoring reports.
